Thunderstorms could bring tornadoes to central Indiana Wednesday, April 15. Here's how to prepare for a tornado watch or warning.

Storms spawned numerous tornadoes across several states, knocking out power and damaging buildings.

Three tornadoes touched down in Winnebago County on Friday amid severe storms that prompted tornado, flood and thunderstorm alerts in several Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana counties and left damage across the region.

The main threats from the storms include large hail, severe wind gusts, and a limited possibility of tornadoes. Forecasters note uncertainty in the storm's exact timing and location due to disruptions from earlier weather activity.

Five tornadoes struck McLean County on Friday night, according to the National Weather Service, three of them in Bloomington and Normal.

A tornado watch remains in effect for part of northwest Indiana as the threat of tornadoes from two rounds of severe storms has otherwise ended for the Chicago area.
